ABOUT JUSTIN REIMER

As with most people, when I first encounter horses I was a much different person than now. I was a scared, uptight teenager that didn’t know his value. Through personal mentorship, patient coaching, and through a horse’s impact I was able to overcome many anxieties and insecurities. In Canada I found an abundance of coaches that could coach riding but never could teach training principles. And the few trainers people had access to took their horses for three months with very little opportunity for the owners to learn themselves. The horse community was crying out for someone to help them and their horses at home. Someone to help them build confidence, overcome training challenges, and achieve their riding goals. They were looking for someone that I was lucky enough to learn from.

Free lance training gave me access to dozens of breeds with different backgrounds. Each client had a problem and a goal in mind and my job was to help them see the path to achieving that goal. I walked with each client on their journey at times doing most of the work myself while at other times clients were very involved in the process. Analyzing the psychology of 30+ new horses a year allows me to relate with any horse, any location, and any problem.

Many trainers are great horse people but not very good communicators. Many coaches are great communicators but don’t know foundational training principles. My mission in the horse world is to bring high value coaching in horse training and horsemanship. As I find the personality strengths and weaknesses of each horse, I explain to each owner how their body posture and mental state impacts their relationship with their horse. My clients learn more about themselves as they learn more about their horses producing a lasting impact on both their daily lives.

My job is to work myself out of a job. Applying the progression of clarity, consistency, confidence, and comfort, gives the client a straight forward framework to diagnose and resolve stress related issues in their horses and themselves because without a healthy mind it is impossible to get the most out of life.

The horse world needs professional authenticity from its trainers. Trainers who will meet you where you are at and view you as a priority as well as your horse. We don’t need "ten easy steps to fix all life issues." We need to get to the root of our issues in a kind proven manner that is more than an emotional high.
